Project description
This project explored how interdisciplinary research methods can inform design and battle inequalities related to cultural literacy issues. As a result, I created a Context magazine. In collaboration with a writer – MA English Literature student Niamh Sewell – we explored the relationship between design and written text and created a prototype issue.
THE CHALLENGE
●    What information from the work of literature needs to be communicated to support cultural literacy
●    How different design approaches help with a deeper understanding of the literary content.
●    How design can become a cross-disciplinary gateway to literature
●    How visual language can be a vessel of meanings, based on symbolism attached to the books
