Recently I adopted a tiny rescue kitten and decided to work on some posters that could be used by animal shelters to promote cat adoption. I explored mixed media approaches, using linocut, pencil, Illustrator, and InDesign. In my approach, I focused on how animals can improve their families' mental health. The first poster (THE VOID) shows statistics on how loneliness and depression are connected and common in the UK. The second poster (THE COMPANION) focuses on the effect animal ownership can have on the individual, and the third (THE CARE) talks about the long-term effects of the ownership.
